Tight Knit presents a series of year-round markets and events based in Historic Downtown Troy, New York.

Founded in 2008 by Rachel Wrightson Naylor and Zhenelle Falk, Tight Knit events showcase an incredible array of handmade and carefully curated goods by artists, crafters and collectors from throughout the Capital Region, Hudson Valley, Berkshires and Southern Vermont.

In 2008, Tight Knit's first ever annual Black Friday Holiday Event boasted 50 vendors and welcomed hundreds of visitors and shoppers over two days. The 2009 Summer season saw Tight Knit expand to a weekly open-air market every Saturday during June, July and August in Troy’s beautiful downtown area. The seasonal market reconvened that same year for the Winter holidays, tucked inside the Troy Atrium upstairs at 3rd and Fulton Streets, joining the Troy Waterfront Farmer’s Market in their Winter home. Tight Knit is proud to be a part of a small business boom in downtown Troy, where in addition to shopping our markets for one-of–a-kind items, you can experience the region's best and most diverse farmer's market, and visit the great variety of boutiques, shops and eateries lining the historic city streets.

In 2012, Tight Knit re-imagined its role as a presenter, reaching out to an expanded audience with the introduction of "Troy Flea: An Urban Bazaar". The areas best Artisans and Crafters mingled with connoisseurs of Vintage clothing, Antiques, collectibles, oddities, and what-nots; curated to present you with only the best, most diverse market the area has to offer.

In 2013, more changes! Heading into its 5th year, Tight Knit will focus on creating distinct specialty events; from February's "Made with Love" market to this summer's Friday Flea at Troy Night Out, an open air bazaar with live entertainment and a perfect breezy evening ambience. And in the Fall, an exciting announcement!

With a strong focus on community and small business over big box globalization, Tight Knit’s mission since inception is to organize and motivate local artists and citizens to share their perspectives, knowledge and creativity with others. Let’s keep our dollars in our communities and grow together.
